Floatfishing using a
Centerpin reel is a deadly technique for dead drifting with a vertical presentation. Some of our biggest fish of the year
are caught using this technique.
When the river is high and we are forced to use long leaders, sometimes 15 feet,
it can be very challenging with a fly rod. A 13 foot float rod handles long leaders much easier than a 9 foot fly rod.
We love to fly fish and do it about 95 percent of the time, this is just another weapon in our arsenal for certain
times. Our main objective is to catch fish.
